First things first: Hirsch Gift is now Hirsch. We have officially bid a fond farewell to the word “Gift” as part of our name moving forward.

First things first: Hirsch Gift is now Hirsch. We have officially bid a fond farewell to the word “Gift” as part of our name moving forward. 


The big question many people have been asking lately is the most straightforward and, at the same time, quite complex: Why? 



More specifically:  


  • Why change the name of the company?  

  • Why do this now?  

  • Why is this change significant? 



As odd as it may seem, there’s a singular answer to all three questions: the name “Hirsch Gift” no longer accurately reflects who we are as an organization. Before joining the promotional products industry twenty years ago, Hirsch sold merchandise into what was then called the gift industry – stores like Neiman Marcus, Macy’s, and gift shops. Given that bit of history, the name Hirsch Gift made all the sense in the world because it helped our clients immediately understand our value to them. 



However, that all changed in 2002 when a promotional products distributor asked us if we could put a company logo on a piece of merchandise. We did, and immediately realized there was an opportunity to offer the highest-quality decorated merchandise to an audience starving for more premium offerings. At the time, the “gift” part of the name was more than part of our history, it was also how we wanted to elevate the offerings of branded merchandise. In other words, keeping that part of the company name made sense. 



Perhaps it’s more accurate to say it made sense until it didn’t. 



Hirsch has done more than simply evolve over the past twenty years. We have transformed into the leading supplier of retail merchandise for the promotional products industry. Unfortunately, however, the word gift has become something of a relic that no longer fits into the world in which we live. Our valued clients have long referred to us as “Hirsch,” and it’s time we updated our brand to fully embrace our transformation.



At the same time, we’ve stayed true to our corporate ethos of passion, care, quality, sustainability, and overall philanthropic responsibility. Our commitment to our people, community, and industry will continue to define who we are, what we do, how we do it, and our overall “why.” 



Today, we officially become the same new Hirsch you’ve come to expect:  


  • Unique retail brands.  

  • Inspired decoration.  

  • Passionate people who care.  

  • Overall responsibility to be the best citizen of our larger community we can be.
